About the Hotel
Riu Ocho Rios is a wonderful, 856-room resort located on a breathtaking beach, surrounded by a well-known rainforest and spectacular waterfalls. The hotel features great amenities, such as five large pools, a Splash Water World with multiple water slides and a mini-splash zone for children, a gym, a wellness center, daily and nightly entertainment, a Teen Club and a variety of gourmet restaurants and lounges. Small groups and large families have the option of connecting rooms or family rooms.

MINIMUM LENGTH OF STAY IS 3 NIGHTS. You can choose arrival and departure dates that best fit your schedule, however arrivals before 9/26/24 and departures after 10/1/24 will be subject to resort availability. We strongly recommend you avoid travel on our wedding day, 9/28/24!

There are three international airports in Jamaica to choose between:
Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay is the most popular airport and services multiple airlines and cities; the airport code is MBJ. Montego Bay is approximately 90 minutes from Riu Ocho Rios.
Norman Manley International Airport is located in Kingston; the airport code is KIN. Kingston is approximately 105 minutes from Ocho Rios (1 hr, 45 minutes).
Ian Fleming International Airport is located in Boscobel, approximately 9 miles from Ocho Rios. The airport code is OCJ. This route is a new offering exclusively with American Airlines and may not be available at time of travel.
You will have the option to add flights to your existing room reservation or shop and purchase flights on your own, which will allow you to use credit card points, frequent flyer miles, and/or discount/different airlines to customize your flight to Jamaica.
Flights added directly to your reservation may require full payment at time of booking.
Once airfares are available, you are encouraged to use flight tracker tools such as Google Flights, Hopper, Skyscanner, etc to find the best rates on flights.
Travel Insurance protects you against the unexpected: cancellations, trip interruption, baggage delay, and more. The purchase of travel insurance is advised to protect your vacation investment.
Insurance purchased upon initial deposit contains "cancel for any reason" coverage. You will have until 7 days post-deposit to add insurance to your reservation starting at $184.99 per person (Travel Insurance premiums may vary, depending on the total cost of your trip). If you wish to add insurance 7 days post-deposit, you may do so, however "cancel for any reason" coverage will not be included.

Travel Insurance is 100% non-refundable once purchased.
A valid Passport BOOK is required to travel to Jamaica.
As best practice, passports that are set to expire before April 2025 should be renewed prior to the trip (in order to comply with international travel regulations). Passport applications and renewals can take up to 12 weeks, so please submit your passport application or renewal request early. Passport delays will not give you a refund of your travel expenses and are not considered a covered cancellation reason in the eyes of travel insurers.

If you are purchasing insurance, add the cost of insurance to your initial deposit.
Initial Deposit must be received on or before September 29, 2023.
Deposits submitted after September 29, 2023 may be subject to variable rates and availability.
Final Balance is due no later than June 21, 2024

Anyone who stays at an outside property will have to purchase a day pass to attend events during our wedding weekend.
Initial $100 per person deposit is non-refundable unless travel insurance is purchased. Any monies paid beyond the initial deposit can be fully refunded until July 21, 2024.
Cancellations made without travel insurance are 100% non-refundable after August 20, 2024, without exception.
If you purchase Cancel For Any Reason travel insurance, your reservation - less the cost of insurance - is refundable until the day before departure.
